WMJobs attend The Academies Show

The WMJobs team attended The Academies Show on Wednesday 22 November at the NEC, Birmingham.

We exhibited alongside some well known brands within the education arena and used the opportunity to network, advise and promote the WMJobs brand to the 3000 plus attendees.

Representatives from Schools, Academies, Colleges, Universities and more were in attendance and it proved to be a brilliant opportunity to promote the WMJobs brand.

Head of Resourcing Manny Sandhu said: “Armed with our brand new sales brochure, fabulous jobs board statistics and branded t-shirts, we showed our competitors WMJobs means business.

“We were overwhelmed by how many people came to talk to us about the WMJobs service on the day.

“The event provided the perfect platform for the team to network with key decision makers from Academy Trusts and we’re hopeful that it will lead to new recruiters coming on board with us.

“This will help us with our ultimate goal of attracting even more high quality candidates to the site.

“We are conscious that the fees to attend such an invent are costly (although we did negotiate a fairly big discount) so it is imperative that we evaluate the outcomes of attending such an event in terms of what return on investment it has bought to WMJobs, to create the case to attend again next year.

“That said we should not under value the importance of growing our brand awareness, amongst schools especially those that may not currently be working with you.

“I do urge those with responsibility for delivering HR services to schools to consider a more collaborative approach to the Academies Show next year and would welcome discussions with any authorties keen to explore this further.”
